HIFF 38 Branding
For the 38th anniversary of the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF), the premier film festival in Hawaii and the largest Asia-Pacific film showcase, I designed custom illustrations to celebrate iconic film locations across the islands. The illustrations highlighted landmarks such as Diamond Head (Oahu), Waimea Canyon (Kauai), and the Hilo Palace Theatre (Big Island), tying the unique beauty of Hawaii to the global cinematic experience. My design work encompassed a wide range of collateral, including the program guide, elevator and escalator wraps, festival badges, slides, t-shirts, online and print ads, and the event trailer, among others.

Inspiration
HIFF 38’s branding was inspired by vintage Hawaii travel posters and illustrations. The goal was to capture the beauty and nostalgia of our iconic locations while retaining HIFF’s branding.
