Hawaii International Film Festival 2019
For the 39th anniversary of the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF), the largest Asia-Pacific film showcase, I designed a series of illustrations that celebrated the diversity of films featured, including Hinekura, Down on the Sidewalk in Waikiki, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire. My work spanned various design collateral, including the program guide, escalator wrap, festival badges, slides, t-shirts, online and print ads, a trailer, and more. Each piece was crafted to capture the essence of the festival while highlighting the global scope and unique stories of the films showcased.

Inspiration
Inspired by the exploding street art and creative scene in Hawaii, this year’s HIFF wanted to merge the varying medias together to create a unique approach to showcasing films featured at the festival.
